Food is amazing. A lot better than was expected and the cost isn't past the point of frequent visits. Great food, nice staff, good pricing. Def suggest visiting

Great place to to eat. Friendly staff and enjoyable atmosphere. I ordered a small platter. It consist of Fries, hushpuppys, 2 chicken strips, 2 fish fillets, and 2 Shrimp (option to grill or fry). My food came out fresh and hot. I enjoyed all the it except the chicken strips. They were not bad but I've had better. Overall great experience.

Great Seafood

Pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices. I enjoyed the 4 meat gumbo. Will be excited to try other things on the menu.

The food is excellent but I didn't like eating in. I've gotten to go plates before and was very pleased. I was brought my food long before my husband got his but that did not change the great taste of the food. I will continue to order take out but I won't eat in.

The shrimp poboy was good. The shrimps were large. The seafood gumbo was spicy and had a good taste.

Went tonight. My sister got the Shrimp tacos. They were great. I got the Shrimp. Loved them. We also got the Gumbo. It was delicious. Will be back.

On the expensive side but delicious.

The customer service sucks and the food isn't the same as it once was.

Best fish tacos ever! Also, I am allergic to shellfish, so I can't actually eat in, but they do not cross contaminate, so that is awesome!

The shrimp po boy was on point!! I should've gotten gumbo, as it smelled heavenly! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable prices make for a very nice hubby date! Definitely coming back for gumbo!!

I had my taste buds are already for seafood gumbo and chose the Bayou café as a place to get it because in the past I have always gotten great customer service. Well tonight I’ve been chewed out into the cold to satisfy my hunger for seafood gumbo ordered my large bowl of seafood gumbo along with some potato salad got it home took the lid off and what was it but chicken and sausage. I am not a happy camper call them they would not bring me a Nother bowl of seafood gumbo and I’m not venturing out into the cold again

The chicken and sausage gumbo is great. Potato salad is not on the menu, but they have it. Wouldn't be real gumbo without it.

Best friend shrimp in Beaumont. Friendly, courteous, and fast. Overall, a good meal!

Feeling disappointed! Normally, the food is pretty good but last night, it wasn't seasoned or anything. I got the 12 piece fried shrimp basket and although, it was hot, the shrimp not fries tasted fresh. I only gave it 2 stars, because the food was hot and the staff were nice. Will be a very long time before I go back.

I stopped in this place today for a quick bite for lunch and I wasn't disappointed. It is such a cozy little place with lots of pictures of musicians and movie stars the staff were super friendly and sweet the restaurant was very clean and most importantly the gumbo was out of this world

The grilled shrimp tacos are awesome. Pretty good burger. I've tried many lunch items, at this location, and they have all been good. Very casual. Quick lunch service. Very friendly staff.

We were driving through town and we stopped here and wow what a great surprise! Delicious and wonderful customer service! The gumbo was amazing oh and banana pudding! We hope to stop here everytime we're in the area.

Just ate at the one in Vidor tonight... Not impressed at all. I had the fried shrimp with one oyster, fries and suppose to be a hush puppy but it wasn't in there.. It was all greasy and had a weird taste to it. Kinda like a bleach taste. I had a weird vibe the other night when I called and the phone rang once and then it hung up. Should have been my sign not to waste my money there. The building looks great. Maybe they should have spent a little more on the food and not so much on the building.

Amazing boudin ball. Both Seafood and chicken and sausage gumbos were excellent. Tried my friend's fried fish and it was also excellent. Going to have to come back next time I'm up from Houston.

Staff is wonderful. Food is amazing. Except the gumbo but to be fair I don't like gumbo anywhere except one place in Texas or deep in the heart of Louisiana. I'm super picky about gumbo so most people would probably like it there.

Food is great when they decide to actually take your order. Waited 10-12 minutes with just me and another customer just to take our order. No line. Not even busy. I just left. I'll only recommend Bayou Cafe if the customer service improves.

Good food, mostly Cajun style. The crab and shrimp gumbo was excellent

Gumbo roux was rich and dark. Had a succulent flavor. Lots of protein and nice portion size in comparison to other various restuarants.

The food was very good, but my food order was wrong. I made it home before I found out I had the wrong order, the front counter people seem unapologetic about mixing up the orders as though it was my fault. The food is excellent or at least what had............

The cashier did not speak, seemed to be impatient or moody. The fries were barely cooked, not brown and no seasoning. The fish had no seasoning. The shrimp were two different sizes and not deveined all the way. The tarter sauce was watery but had a sweet taste.

The Seafood Gumbo & Shrimp Po'Boy were yummy
